XXIII is happy to announce Rezas, the freshest release of the Portuguese producer Caucenus.

This EP showcases Caucenus territories - the urban rhythms with African influence such as Kuduro, GQOM and Batida de Lisboa; mixed with deep basses and experimental soundscapes. The result is a ritualistic and repetitive sound, with heavy and distorted leads combined with extremely broken percussion.

Caucenus is the mask of António Ramires, producer and music technology researcher from Coimbra, currently living in Barcelona. He researches on music and audio processing together with artificial intelligence for the development of interfaces for assisting electronic music production. He is also responsible for a 3-year-old radio show in Rádio Universidade de Coimbra - Dubplate - where he displays new afro-latin urban electronic music.
